I’ve been using Lead ads for a while now and the conversions rates are very good. Also my costs per conversion have dropped significantly.
But unfortunately here comes the downturn: While lots of people have submitted their email adresses, only very few of them have confirmed their adress in the double optin process. So I have like 90 % of my new leads in a “optin pending” situation right now.

I guess people just forget about the confirmation mail. Although I connected lead ads with my autoresponder so that people get their mail 15 minutes after sign up. I’m confused because I even remind people to confirm their adress inside the lead ads form.

Is there a way to fix this problem? How do you get people to remember to confirm their email adress after signing in with Facebook? Does anyone have similar experiences?

I’d be really thankful for some advice. Thanks a lot!

here is a problem with this type of campaign that I think most important. Most people who entered phone numbers to their accounts expired or who do not use Facebook. I think same case with the main-mail also. And Facebook automatically takes information from user profiles many people simply click the submit button without checking the information is correct or not. This is what happens to my Facebook lead Generation campaigns, we have lot of leads but conversation ration is not good, even i can also choose Interest area and language, If someone have solution please let me know

I know this is an older post but wanted to chime in. Now that these are live I personally have not started testing them. I think marketers will be slow to adopt this as the current marketing trend is all about dropping the almighty pixel. It would be cool if facebook could make a custom audience of people who click on that add but don’t submit. Just a thought

I have just started with the Lead Gen ad type. In a weekend of running it I captured 5 leads at a cost of $17.10 per lead. My only issue is there is no auto notifications for when leads come in. Has anyone found any scripts or work around for getting notifications on new leads?

Quick question on the topic of Instant Articles:

– Won’t bloggers be faced with a choice, and the dilemma of, Facebook’s Instant Articles vs the SEO best practices?

– If Google SEO wants us to create the best experience, on the site, and puts added weight into things like “time spent” on the page, won’t pushing our blog content to Facebook Instant Articles disrupt this? I assume people will double dip. Post an instant article, but also post an original copy on your blog. This blog will now be without the added benefit of Facebook traffic.

I was just wondering if anybody else had some thoughts on this.

In reply to Alvin Tims. Twitter already has Lead Ads with their lead gen Twitter cards so no landing page needed for that one. Do you think other platforms will also go this way? Landing pages would still be needed for any CPC search ads or display ads though.

Two things:
(1) How about the quality of the individual leads? If people have to invest less time in subscribing to a newsletter, and so more do it, would that also potentially mean that the average quality of the leads you acquire will drop?
(2) If the total volume of e-mail leads grows, due to the efficacy of Facebook Lead Ads, then might that dilute the overall effectiveness of e-mail marketing? Both because a potentially drop in quality of the individual lead and because each person will be receiving MORE e-mail marketing newsletters in his/her Inbox, and thus have less time available to invest in each of them?

In reply to Joel. It does provide your Facebook email address allowing you to be put directly into a custom audience for future ads. Not necessarily the email marketing however they can still reach those users much better on Facebook again.
