1. Have you set up both Conversions API and the browser pixel?

2. Events that show up in Events Manager are all events, regardless of the source (Facebook, Instagram, direct, Google, organic, paid, etc.). If you have both the API and browser pixel, the number of events in Events Manager is also double before deduplication. So I want to be sure you aren’t assuming that just because events appear there that they should appear in Ads Manager. Even if all events should be attributed to your ad, they could be doubled in Events Manager. But, it’s likely that you get conversions that don’t come directly from your ads, too.

3. Ads Manager reporting relies on the rules of attribution, as defined in the Attribution Setting of your ad set. If it’s 7-day click and 1-day view, someone who clicks the ad needs to convert within 7 days. If they don’t click but view it, they need to convert within a day. Those conversions won’t appear immediately in Ads Manager. You should also use the Compare Attribution Settings feature to see how many conversions happen within each window — even 28-day click.

Hope this helps!

I configured CAPI and all events show up correctly in Event Manager. However, the purchase event isn't attributed in ads, at all. I keep having this issue and with AI this is a real problem because AI concludes the target audience isn't right and gravitates away from it and so ads tank after a few days. I even tried testing myself (just hitting an ad link and placing an order) and presto – the event is shown in event manager, but not attributed. Are there any specific attribution settings that could account for this?

No. The conversion is given to the most recent click. Only one ad gets credit.

28 day click includes both 7 day click and 1 day click, and 7 day click includes 1 day click. Compare attribution settings to get those breakdowns. The highest number among clicks will always be 28-day click. Subtract 7-day click from 28-day click to see how many happened beyond 7-day click. Subtract 1-day click from 7-day click to see how many happened beyond 1-day click.

Can meta inflate here by attributing a sale to both campaigns?

Do 7 days include purchases from 1 day click and 28day clicks include all from 1day and 7 day clicks and views?
