Hi there, I am afraid I am having the same issue. Did you solve it in the end?

I was wondering if anyone had any understanding of the Website Clicks optimisation option. I have just promoted an existing post on my page optimising it for website clicks. But I’ve never been asked to include a link to the site that I want recorded, so how will Facebook know if people are clicking to my website?! Thanks in advance.

Hey, I was having this issue and just worked out a way to solve it, maybe it’ll work for you too. I had to Download to Power Editor again which meant that I lost anything that wasn’t already live so make sure you take a record of anything you’ve already uploaded if you want to use it again afterwards. Once I had done that and had wiped the slate clean, I created the campaign again and immediately hit the Upload Changes button. Then did the same with the Ad Sets, and then the Ads. It seemed to work for me, hope it’s helpful.

I tried to upload several times, and got the same nasty error message. Then I checked my email box, and FB accepted my ad. Go figure!

Couple of things, Rick. First, Facebook is rolling out an update that merges precise and broad category interests. So you can’t target quite as precisely as you once could. Also, some pages just don’t appear there, and it’s never been clear why (it has little or nothing to do with audience size).

When you create your unpublished post, make sure you leave the Targeting
Options fields empty. Seems to conflict with targeting you set in the
ad. At least that’s how I was able to get around this annoyance.

Karina, I just encountered this issue myself and what you have to do is change the campaign budget from lifetime to daily and it should work.

Then, you can change it back to lifetime from the normal ads editor.

Thanks, Eric. It’s unfortunately impossible to keep up with Facebook links because they’re constantly killing and changing them.

@disqus_mB5xgbjTdc:disqus be sure your image is well sized (100×72). However still with this I have an unknwon error while campaign seem to be well scheduled. Weird !

I ran a search of it, and it seems to be an API error. Not sure why it would come up in Power Editor, but doesn’t appear to be anything you can do about it from what I can tell.

not sure how big screen you have but that was the same thing that was getting on my nerves on my laptop (15′) but when I am on Mac (21′) I see everything nicely. on the smaller screen I could not even scroll to some parts of the editor!

Make sure you upload while viewing the ads within that campaign.
