If you create a custom conversion based on web events and you have both the pixel and server-side tracking for that event, it will include both.

Is there any downside to mapping app events to Meta’s standard events, where the event definitions don’t align? For instance, if a high-value app action is mapped to “Purchase” though no purchase is actually made. I inherited an account that was set up this way across multiple events and after reading this curious if it could impact performance. Thanks!

There’s a section for Custom Events in Ads Reporting, too. If there’s one event you aren’t seeing, it’s possible you either have to verify it or create an ad set that optimizes for that event (publish, but don’t need to run budget) before it will appear.
