Can I assign 2 pixels in business manager to 1 ad account?
I already had one pixel and one ad account in business manager. then I created another pixel and named it master pixel. Now can i assign this master pixel to the only ad account in my business manager which already has 1 pixel… Thanks

We build a free wifi system that is installed in a event/cafe(as user want to get free internet, they see ad/login) and in that webapp, we install a fb pixel.

Now overtime as the pixel built, we would want to leverage the audience for our client/advertisers who would probably need our pixel. Eg: We would like to share pixel who visited our app during an automotive event, by using it to fb test drive lead ad for an automotive brand. In this case the automotive brand is our client.

1. Is this business model allowed by facebook?
2. If so, How to compose a package for advertiser? Do we just charge by how large is the pixel, or create a fb campaign package altogether? What do you reckon if you have a business model like this?

Thanks in advanced

I have a similar problem. I am unable to assign the pixel shared with me by the client to any existing ad account in business manager. Client does not want to share ad account.

Thanks for this great article. I have a question and I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere in the Facebook documentation. A client shared a pixel with my Business Manager, but I am unable assign that pixel to my existing advertising account which of course has a pixel of its own. Do I need to open a new ad account in business manager? The client is OK with sharing the pixel but not their advertising account and I can’t share our advertising account with their business manager because I run ads for other clients from that account.

I would assume the answer would be yes.

Well what I would ideally think as best practise would be to let the client have BM created and assign your BM as partner onto their page , adv acc , pixel asset . Pls correct me if wrong . I tried that all good just failed at assigning clients adv to clients shared pixel .

{{Business Manager Error – has anyone faced ?}}
Helped friend set up his BM account .

Assigned my BM as partner to his page, ad account , pixel.

Went into my BM account, can see his page , ad account and pixel in my
BM account; however when I go to his pixel, assigned his ad account I
get a “failed to authorize 1 ad account” error from my BM .

Has anyone faced this and resolved ? What could I be doing wrong in the logic here ? Not much of help out there .

If the client has access to your ad account then they would be able to see all your ads and targeting etc.

Re: 1 – That’s tricky with FB’s T&C’s. They say you can’t sell your audiences. But there’s a thin line between ‘selling’ and ‘partnering’
2. I would too. Looking into seeing what kind of services exist for this at the moment…can’t find any yet.

This is two sided.
1. I would be interested in selling and buying audiences (didn’t see that info on FB’s TC)
2. I would be interested in doing a “trade” with a complementary business. No exchange of money.
Thoughts?

If both you and the other company are happy to share audiences, and there is no ‘selling’ of the data going on, then there shouldn’t be any conflict with FB’s T&C’s.
Are you looking to share your own audience, or someone else’s?

I’ve found little info regarding the rules of sharing pixels and audiences. The link you’ve included in the rule section does not seem to work for me. I’d like the option to share audience information with others, while having the consent of the data owner. Facebook technically does this, why can’t i? ?

I have a quick question. I work with some franchisees that would like to be able to share the pixel from the corporate website for their local ad purposes. By they also have a pixel they have setup for a local website they control. Can the franchisee run an ad and target an audience using the shared corporate pixel and also an audience with their local pixel?
Thanks!
Dave
